Q&A:
1. What oils are recommended?
We recommend using a hydraulic fluid with a viscosity between #10 and #15. Excessive viscosity will affect the use of the hydraulic cylinders, so do not use hydraulic cylinders with excessive viscosity.
2. Does this steering system work on motors over 100 hp?
This product is intended for use on 90 horsepower machines. If used on a 100 horsepower machine, a safety hazard may occur.
1. Excessive pressure causes deformation of the hydraulic cylinder.
2. Pump is unable to withstand fluid pressure and is damaged.
3. o-rings leak due to excessive pressure. All three of these can cause inefficiencies and hazards in the steering system.
3. What does the product consist of? What is the length of the hose?
The product includes: oil pump, hydraulic cylinder, two hoses, kits and transparent injection tube, the hose is generally 8 meters long, (can be cut to any length you need, need to use the hose connector).Suitable for most lengths of boat.
4. What is the inside diameter of the 90HP steering wheel?
The size is 5/8“-18.
5. How to reduce steering speed?
You need to increase the volume of the hydraulic cylinder and decrease the volume of the pump. This will allow you to get more rpm's at lockup.
6. Is there a speed reducer?
No, but there are built-in check valves and safety valves. Check valves and safety valves keep the vessel stable in waves.
